The endless source of fast fashion garments that circulate on flea markets is comparable to the amount of low-resolution images that circulate the internet. Jpegs (and garments) are used, compressed, and altered: through sharing their quality deteriorates and they lose their original value. The collection M&M is also presented in a polyester fabric lookbook — part graphic design, part fashion, part soft sculpture, the publication has the feeling of a magazine, but has a fluid materiality. It has questionable functionality, much like the past season clothes left to languish at the back of our closets.
